This is a vintage Hamedan rug, hand-knotted with wool on a cotton foundation. Hamedan rugs are traditionally woven in villages around the city of Hamedan, often featuring geometric patterns and medallions inspired by both tribal and urban weaving traditions. This vintage rug shows some wear on the pile and edges, highlighting its age and history. Still full of life and able to handle lots of foot traffic.
